At Appalachian Barrel Company, our story is deeply rooted in the rugged hills of Eastern Kentucky, where generations before us cut oak, hauled water, and shared whiskey beneath the same skies that crown today’s Appalachian Mountains. We are three founders—bound by blood, friendship, and the bourbon-soaked soil of our homeland. Our families have called these mountains home for generations, and that heritage informs every barrel we bottle. Though our Kentucky bourbon is crafted in the heart of the Bluegrass, it is the spirit of Appalachia that runs through everything we do. We built Appalachian Barrel Company to create more than just great bourbon—we’re telling a story. A story of the mountains, of community, of deep oak and even deeper pride. We honor the traditions passed down through time, but we craft our spirits with a modern sensibility that’s rooted in quality and patience.
